When you’re young, having fun and enjoying yourself, it can feel like you haven’t got a care in the world and nothing to worry about. But, the future can creep up on you before you know it and with young people struggling to buy their own houses and needing so much more for a comfortable retirement than previous generations have, it’s never too early to start thinking about your future. This doesn’t mean you need to stop going out or saving like mad. But, there are a few investments for your future that you should consider making as soon as possible.
How to choose a rug to match your floor type
Until I bought my own house, I was unaware on how many different things there was to decide on when it comes to the interior. Simply choosing a colour for the wall and the carpet is only the start of it. We have lived in our house over a year now and there is still so much to do and we always end up saying ‘we will get that next month’ and it never happens. There are so many finishing touches which I need to get round to doing such as mirrors, wall art, rugs and wall paper just to complete the house with the look I’m going for. I had so many visual ideas of what exactly my house to be had to look like so putting the ideas into the real thing is very exciting. However, I definitely need help when knowing exactly what to choose and what will go with what. This handy little guide on one of the many things you need to keep in mind when decorating your house, how to choose the perfect rug.
A Delicious Addition: Creating Your Dream Kitchen Garden Space
With spring fast approaching (finally), there’s no better time to start thinking about your garden, or any outdoor space you’re lucky enough to have. There’s nothing quite like a morning stroll around your outside environment, with a cup of something hot, and the chance to listen and watch as the world wakes up. However big or small your garden is, it’s an environment with plenty of potential, much like any other room in your home, and you’ll never regret making the most of it. With such a focus on healthy eating and fresh, unprocessed ingredients in today’s media; you’ll already understand the benefits that fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs can bring to your life (and dinner plate). And, growing-your-own is fast becoming a hobby and a way of life for many.
An American Dream-Style Home In The UK
Don’t deny it – we’re all influenced by the American Dream. Hollywood wants us to travel to the west coast and take part in a Cinderella story. American sitcoms push the idea of a romantic meet-up with your happily ever after. Even the food is perceived to be the biggest and most delicious in the world. Everything about the United States is appealing, and that includes the houses. A ‘Little House on the Prairie’ is a dream property whether you’re from the North East of England or New England. Below are the tips that can help you bring a little piece of the States to your front door. Enjoy!
Keeping costs down
Sometimes we think with our hearts and not with our heads. Making New Year’s resolutions can often be disastrous, with 80% of people failing by February and regretting it instantly. One of the most common New Year’s resolutions is to cut down on spending, and although this sounds achievable, if you don’t have a fully-pledged strategy in place, the likeliness of failure spirals out of control.
We understand that people can be victim to an unexpected expense — whether this is a home appliance breaking or making that third trip on a bus with only a return ticket. It all adds up. For that reason, we’ve made some assessments on how those extra savings can come in handy if something like that was to occur.
Unlocking The Door To Garden Party Success
A garden party may be the last thing on your mind at this time of year. Most of us are still in hibernation. The endless drizzle doesn’t even look set to change anytime soon. But, believe it or not, we’re over halfway through winter. As such, you could say it’s practically spring already. Optimistic that may be, but we’ve got to cheer ourselves up somehow, don’t we?
As such, it’s sensible to start making summer plans. When it comes to getting away, booking this early is a must if you want to get the best deal. Even if you aren’t going anywhere, making plans now is the only sure way to make them happen. And, what could be better for summer preparation than prepping for all those garden parties? A garden party is a beautiful thing, and nothing quite beats getting it right. But, you can’t get it right if you don’t know the three keys to success. Which is why we’re going to take a look at them here!
When Geek Gets Glam
Haven’t you heard? Geeky is the new sexy! Perhaps it’s because the fashion world is always on the lookout for new styles and influences, perhaps it’s the slew of sci fi and superhero franchises dominating the box office (the latest Star Wars movie has, to date, made over $1.3bn at the box office), or maybe it’s just that there’s always been a mysterious allure to geek culture. Whatever the reason, a lot of people of both genders are feeling a whole lot more comfortable these days wearing their geekiness on their sleeve. Over the past few years the “geek chic” phenomenon has been embraced by men and (increasingly) women around the world. If you’re a died in the wool nerd who’s looking for the best way to rock the look or if you’ve long been a closet geek but have only just decided to come out of the geeky closet, here are some ways in which you can rock the geek chic look and manage the perfect marriage between geeky and glam!
Must watch netflix series
I’ve been obsessed with Netflix recently, ever since binning off Sky TV and moving over to Virgin Media. Sky was great because of all of the box sets and movies available to download, but it was just not within a price range that I was willing to pay once the contract ended. Now we’re with Virgin we watch Netflix almost every night. It’s great for us as we prefer to watch TV series rather than movies as I tend to get bored quite easily. We currently have 1 working TV in the house so Netflix is fab because you can watch on different devices. However, you do definitely get the best effect when watching on the big a TV screen like Oled TV Panasonic I have multiple series on the go at the moment so this is a little guide on which shows to look out for and become obsessed with like myself.

Want To Party? Why Not Do It In London?
If you feel like being romantic about it, you could go as far as to say that London is a mysterious place. On the surface, there is not much about it that stands out very much, unless you really like busy roads and rush hour traffic. Despite that, people from all over the world are drawn to London, and while some go there just to visit, some decide to settle there permanently. What could it possibly be? After all, it is rather doubtful that the whole world comes down just to walk around Trafalgar Square and look at Big Ben (which is currently under construction) from afar. One could say that it’s just a giant clock on top of a tower, which isn’t exactly wrong, but there’s just something strangely captivating about London which consistently keeps bringing people in. If London is good for anything, it’s definitely good for partying and if you’re feeling the need to celebrate or you want to go out and party just because, then it’s hard to find a better place on this side of the hemisphere.
