After moving home from London at 18 and getting a job I decided to buy myself a car. I’d been saving during my time at sixth form and always seemed to save any Christmas or birthday money I received. When I was in Sixth Form a lot of people were bought cars for their 17th and 18th birthdays or for no reason at all but everything I have I’ve saved for and bought myself which I personally think makes you appreciate things more if they haven’t been handed to you on a plate.
After finishing sixth form, I decided not to go to University, unlike the majority of my friends. I didn’t like the thought of choosing my lifetime career at the age of 18 when I wasn’t 100% sure what I wanted to do as a job. I didn’t want to waste 3/4 years of my life doing a course for the sake of it, just because it was the next step to take after sixth form. After humming and harring about what to do, I ended up making the most spontaneous decision I’d ever made, and moved almost 300 miles away to London!
Well, I was invited to my very first blogging event on Wednesday. It was a Stagecoach #bloggersonthebus event held at Jalou which is a bar in Newcastle City Centre with an amazing cocktail menu! The plan for the night was for us all to get all crafty and create our own phone cases. I didn’t think of myself as a creative person however I seemed to be in my element all night and got right into the whole thing.
Welcome to my first ever blog post! I’ve been saying this is something I want to do for a few months now, and seeing as its now the new year and the new me malarkey is going round, the plunge has finally been taken.
