High heels are fashionable and terribly feminine. In fact, they belong to the quintessential image of the femme fatale, a seductive creature often perched on high heels. It’s also a portray that has been promoted by the pin-up culture since the 1930s. So, as a result, high heels can be a natural extension of your outfit as a woman. They are the perfect companion of a professional office outfit, and they also are the most obvious glamourising ally of your night outs. So, this might come as a surprise, especially for those of you who own several pairs of shoes, but there are very good and valid reasons why you should stop wearing high heels.
Haven’t you heard? Geeky is the new sexy! Perhaps it’s because the fashion world is always on the lookout for new styles and influences, perhaps it’s the slew of sci fi and superhero franchises dominating the box office (the latest Star Wars movie has, to date, made over $1.3bn at the box office), or maybe it’s just that there’s always been a mysterious allure to geek culture. Whatever the reason, a lot of people of both genders are feeling a whole lot more comfortable these days wearing their geekiness on their sleeve. There are actually quite a few, as detailed below.

Now this has to the best ever trend to come around! I do like getting dressed up and going out, however I much prefer throwing on my ‘gym clothes’ and being comfortable. Leaving the house in leggings, T shirt, trainers (and most of the time even a sports bra) is my ultimate favourite outfit.
