I’m not someone who refuses to leave the house without makeup, I wear it for work and going out but I do love having a fresh face and being able to rub my eyes without getting mascara in them. I do have a makeup routine which I follow step by step using my handful of my favourite products. I never vary this routine unless I’m going ‘out out’ and then I will use eye shadow and false lashes.
I tend to vary my foundation application depending on my mood. I either use a foundation brush or Dior beauty blender, both I find work well and give an even coverage. I used to always use the same foundation for years which was Mac Studio Fix Fluid in NW15, however I’d find that throughout the day it would somehow disappear off my face and be patchy by the time I got home. Every time I asked someone what foundation they recommended, they all said the same one, Estee Lauder Double Wear. No exaggeration but this foundation is life changing! I apply this at 7:30am after the gym, go a full day at work and it stays on perfect, I absolutely love it.
I’ve always had very dark circles under my eyes, I literally have no idea at all how to get rid of them. I think that is just my skin in general as I don’t remember them ever not being there. I used to use a Mac concealer until a friend told me about the concealer she had started using which was cheaper also. I find this concealer to be very good at covering my dark circles and I’ve never gone back to Mac after trying it. It’s the Maybeline Eraser Eye Concealer in light. This hides my purple circles and is the best concealer I’ve tried so far.
I like using a loose powder and have been using an Avon one for a while now in Sand Beige. It lasts forever and is very reasonable. Now, my favourite product which I’m obsessed with is the Charlotte Tilbury sculpt and highlight palette. I use the bronze side to contour and the glow to highlight my cheekbones and eyebrows. There are so many Charlotte Tilbury products that I want to try and the packaging is amazing!
I’ve done a post previously about my love for Dip Brow by Anastasia Beverly Hills which is my new fav brow kit. Even after it has been on all day and I cleanse before bed it takes a lot of doing to remove it. No one wants to have disappearing brows on a night out and this little pot of joy is the answer. I’ve used the same mascara ever since I started wearing it in the early school days. When I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup but would sneakily apply in the toilets . It the Loreal Telescopic in carbon black. My natural lashes are not very long but they’re a little curled. But this mascara is fab, it gives so much length and the comb makes each lash individual instead of clumpy.
For my lips I always always always use Mac creme d’nude, its my absolute favorite lipstick ever in the world to exist and I’m yet to find one that I prefer. I do have a lengthy wish list of beauty products I’m wanting to try and hopefully I’ll get my hands on them and add to my collection.
